Step out of the house to the terrace pool with small fountains and submerged lounge chairs on the wide first step. Bordering the property is the widest part of the New River and passing yachts. The beautiful macaws pictured here are residents that will be in their large cage in a jungle setting on the side of the property, reminding you that you are in the tropics. Their caretaker comes by each afternoon to feed them, so you can just relax and enjoy having your own private aviary. The 1/3rd-acre corner lot has waterfront on two sides, and your 220' deep water dock can accommodate any size boat.

This beautiful vacation property was recently remodeled and offers both a welcome escape and a terrific place to entertain. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas for eight, a 12'x50' pool with river-grade pebble lining, and a four-person hot tub. The master bath opens onto the hot tub. The handsome living room includes a 55" flat-screen, high-definition TV and comfortable seating. For movies, there's a high-definition Blu Ray DVD player. There is also a 26" LCD TV in the master bedroom, and a 37" LCD TV in the guest room. The house has a Wi-Fi Internet connection and a printer for your use. Plus, the phone provides free long-distance calling in the USA.

The house sleeps four in two comfortable king-size beds. The master bedroom walks out onto the hot tub terrace, and the guest room opens onto the pool-side terrace. There are two full baths, and all linens are provided. Cooks will be at home in the kitchen with granite counter top, hickory cabinets, and gas range. Outside, there's a large stainless steel gas grill.

Water's Edge is a private hideaway near downtown Fort Lauderdale. You're close to everything when you want to get out and take in a show at the Performing Arts Center or try out the best of Fort Lauderdale's restaurants. But when you want an escape, you'll enjoy this perfect retreat.
